Z-2000 pressure setter
1. INTRODUCTION
The Z-2000 setter is a source of relative pressure. It's a modified Z-12 setter.
Unlike the predecessor, wherein the control module S-1 was connected by a cable to the actuator, the control module is integrated into the setting unit. Compared to the previous version the working speed is increased approx. three times.
The device can operate without DM-2 and PS-2u attached, but can also work on automatic or semi-automatic test bench using VIST-Win computer program.
Knob placed on the device controls the speed of the stepper motor so you can adjust the pressure in any way.
Logarithtmic characteristics of the knob allows for both high-speed pressure changes as well as precise control.
The Z-2000 setter paired with a service set containing DM-2 and PS-2 or PS-2u and a computer with installed VIST-Win program enables semi-automatic checking of metrological spring gauges.
In this mode, the Z-2000 digitally controlled by the computer automatically adjusts the pressure in the vicinity of the the measuring point, then the operator sets the accurate pressure on the tested gauge and then by pressing "Enter" on PC makes the final measurement of the error.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
The Z-2000 setter is a dual-mode device. It consists of two parts:
- hydraulic - high-pressured
- pneumatic - low-pressured.
Both parts are driven by common stepper motor and worm gear.
All elements of the Z-2000 setter are fixed to the base on set of adjustable legs.
Control knob and power switch are located on the main unit.
Methodology of the devices is the same as in previously extensively used in the metrology typical pressure setting devices.
The solution has been reported in the Polish Patent Office.
